Stability samples · relocation & excursions

THE CHAMBER
MOVED.
DID THE STUDY?

Maintenance, a power failure, a move to the basement for four days. Every relocation of stability samples ends with the same two questions on the form: were the storage conditions maintained, and is this a critical deviation? This calculator answers both - and shows you why.

THE RELOCATION
CALCULATOR

Enter the set point, the relocation and the storage age of the samples. The youngest group is always assessed; the oldest group is optional. Every value on the right follows from one line of arithmetic: each location weighted by the days spent there.

HOW FAR,
AND FOR HOW LONG?

Every relocation is a point on this map: its temperature and its duration. The green field is everything the youngest samples can absorb; the curves show where older samples would still pass. Drag the point - Lab 01 follows.

WHY THE YOUNGEST SAMPLES
DECIDE

The same four days weigh heavily on a sample stored for one month and almost nothing on one stored for six years. That is why the SOP checks the shortest and the longest storage age, and why the shortest one nearly always sets the verdict.

3 · Calculated storage conditions*

* Calculated for the shortest and the longest storage age under target conditions, including the time spent at the relocation site. The conditions at both locations are weighted by the time spent there and averaged.
